People who come to our Orange County coding bootcamp know they’ve made the right decision. They understand that learning this skill will help them start a new career or enhance the career path they are already on. We took the time to do a quick survey and asked them about their happy places to program.
Of course, the responses we got all depended on what kind of coding people were working on. For example, some prefer office cubes because they allow you to interact with your fellow developers. If you need to ask a question quickly you can talk right over one of the cube walls.
Of course, there’s a downside here too. People who need to communicate with other developers understand there’s a million different ways to contact them online these days. You can find a bigger variety of answers on the Internet.
The people we talked to loved working outside but they also said it can be a double-edged sword. Applying what you’ve learned from our Orange County coding bootcamp sitting by the pool can be relaxing, but you need to watch out for distractions.
There’s usually lots of noise outside and you need to keep reminding yourself that you’re there to work and not play!
At the Local Coffee House
One of the places that everyone could agree on was the local coffee house. It usually had a nice quiet atmosphere with enough room to work on your coding projects. One of the best things about these places was the fact that you could get yourself a nice cup of coffee and take a break. That way you could always come back to your coding job refreshed and you didn’t even need to leave the building.
There are a growing number of people who don’t take a job coding in a formal way. These freelancers love to report that they can work from the house and even enjoy the coach in their living room while they code. Some of the people we talked to love to watch television and catch up on the latest documentaries while they are working away.
In the end, it’s really up to you where you work as a programmer. Once you’ve adopted this skill set and practiced for a while, you’ll find that your concentration levels are as flexible as your ability to move from place to place. Still, our Orange County coding bootcamp is a great place to start.
